Arsenal Concerned Ben White May Miss Over a month

0

Arsenal are worried that defender Ben White could be out for at least a month after picking up a hamstring injury during their win over Wolves. While the club is still waiting for full test results, early signs suggest he may miss between four and six weeks.

The 28-year-old was forced off in the first half of Saturday’s 2-1 victory at the Emirates Stadium and was replaced by Myles Lewis-Skelly. Manager Mikel Arteta later confirmed the problem appeared to be a hamstring injury.

White’s absence adds to Arsenal’s growing defensive problems at a busy time in the season, with four matches coming up in just 10 days. Gabriel Magalhaes is already out until the end of the year with an injury picked up while on international duty, and Cristhian Mosquera is not expected back until mid-January after damaging his ankle.

There was some good news, however, as William Saliba and Jurrien Timber returned to action at the weekend after their own injury setbacks.

Arsenal face Everton in the Premier League on Saturday before taking on Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on 23 December.
