Bayelsa United technical adviser, Meremu Okpara insists his team fully deserved the win over Plateau United.
Bayelsa United edged Plateau United 2-1 in a keenly contested encounter at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Sunday.
Emo James scored a brace for the Prosperity Boys, while Gideon Monday netted the only goal for Plateau United.
Okpara claimed that his players worked hard to secure maximum points in the game.
“The game was tough as expected but I think we gave everything for the victory,” Okpara stated in a post-match interview.
