Benfica manager, Jose Mourinho has picked Chelsea winger, Pedro Neto as the Blues player he would love to coach at Benfica.

Mourinho spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Benfica’s Champions League tie with Chelsea on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge.

The 62-year-old described Neto as one of the best wingers in the world at the moment.

“Pedro Neto is one of the best wingers in the world,” Mourinho said.

“Roberto [Martinez] at the [Portugal] national team is very privileged because he has not only Pedro Neto but four or five players of that profile.

“At Benfica we don’t have as many. Of course, I would like Pedro Neto, but of course, he is playing in a different reality, much different from ours, especially financially.

“What can I say? I can wish him the very best, injury-free career. And of course I thank him for his words as well.”

Meanwhile, Neto had, during his pre-match press conference, hailed Mourinho as the manager who allowed Portuguese players to go play football around the world.

The 25-year-old also said it would be a privilege for him to play under Mourinho.
