It’s the season opener and the raining champions, Liverpool, are hosting Bournemouth at Anfield. The Reds were defeated by Crystal Palace by penalties after 2-2 draw in the FA community shield.
There’s been some interesting signings from clubs across the league, like Gyokores (Arsenal), Sesko (Man United), Ekitike, Wirtz, Frimpong (Liverpool) and many more. It’s going to be an exciting season.
Below are my predictions for week 1
Liverpool vs Bournemouth - Over 2.5
Aston Villa vs Newcastle - Over 2.5
Brighton vs Fulham - Over 1.5
Sunderland vs West Ham - Over 1.5
Tottenham vs Burnley - Over 1.5
Wolves vs Man City - Over 2.5
Nott’m Forest vs Brentford - Over 1.5
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace - Over 1.5
Man United vs Arsenal - Over 2.5
Leeds vs Everton - Over 1.5
Key Observations:
1. Liverpool vs Bournemouth (Over 2.5) – Liverpool at Anfield, especially after a Community Shield loss, will be fired up. Their new signings (Wirtz, Frimpong, Ekitike) add attacking flair.
2. Aston Villa vs Newcastle (Over 2.5) – Both teams love to attack, and this could be a thriller.
3. Man United vs Arsenal (Over 2.5 ) – If United’s new signings (like Sesko) click early, an upset is possible, but Arsenal (with Gyokores) are favorites.
4. Wolves vs Man City (Over 2.5) – City’s firepower usually ensures goals, even if Wolves defend deep.
5. Chelsea vs Crystal Palace (Over 1.5) – Chelsea should score, but Palace can be tricky.
Potential Risks:
Brighton vs Fulham – Brighton’s possession game could limit goals if Fulham parks the bus.
Leeds vs Everton – A relegation scrap vibe might make this tighter than expected.
Upset of the Week:
Man United over Arsenal - Why it could happen: If United’s new signings gel quickly and Arsenal struggle with early-season rust, Old Trafford could be a fortress.
