Tomiyasu Set to Leave Arsenal After Mutual Termination of Contract

Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu will leave the club after a mutual termination of his contract, according to BBC Sport.

The 26-year-old has been plagued with injuries since joining the club in the summer of 2021.

The Japan international played just six minutes last season and is recovering from knee surgery, which he underwent in February.

It is claimed he will be out for up to five months, leading to Arsenal and Tomiyasu reaching a contractual settlement to end his contract.

The ex-Bologna player's Gunners contract was due to expire next summer.

Tomiyasu has made 84 appearances across all competitions for Mikel Arteta's side.
