The Aston Villa goalkeeper has reportedly been of interest to Manchester United, and Villa boss Unai Emery is said to be resigned to cashing in on the goalkeeper, who is valued at £45 million.
It is claimed that United are focusing on other priorities, which has opened the door on a potential move to Stamford Bridge, with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen both failing to nail down the number one spot.
The report does state, though, that Martinez's preference remains a move to Old Trafford.
