Jon Dadi Bodvarsson will leave Burton when his contract expires at the end of the month, the club have confirmed.
The 33-year-old signed for the club from Wrexham in January and scored five goals in 13 appearances.
Bodvarsson told the club's official website he and his family would be returning home to Iceland after almost a decade.
