
Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle to sign 17-year old Sporting Lisbon winger, Geovany Quenda.
A few of about £40m was agreed for his signature and the youngster is set to sign a seven-year deal for the Blues with an option for an extra season.
The Blues are seeking to bolster their attacking options with Quenda seen as a significant addition to the available options on the flank.
Quenda, who will not join the club until 2026, is versatile and very skillful especially in take-ons and runs.
The Portugal Under-21 international–who has secured three caps–has scored two goals and has eight assists in 43 matches since breaking through into the first team at Sporting Lisbon.
Quenda had been previously linked with a move to Manchester United to reunite with his former manager Ruben Amorim who guided him during the year of his career breakthrough.
