Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has claimed that Arsenal have “hope” in the Premier League title race, despite Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday
The Gunners had cut the lead between them and the leaders to four points, after Mikel Merino came off the bench to score twice against Leicester City on Saturday.
But on Sunday, the Reds held on for a 2-1 win over Wolves, to restore a seven-point gap at the top.
Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah had scored for Liverpool, but Matheus Cunha’s fine effort in the 67th minute, ensured the rest of the match was nervy.
“I think it was a good day for Liverpool,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“I even think it was half a good day for Arsenal with Liverpool, who just got over the line against a Wolves team who I thought were fantastic, having Aston Villa away and Man City away coming up.
