Manchester United have shown ‘serious interest’ in signing ex-Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen in the January transfer window in a bid to bolster their manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Christensen, who currently plays for Barcelona, has made just 75 appearances for the Blaugrana since joining the Catalan club on a free transfer in 2022.
The 28-year-old made more than 30 appearances during his first season at Barca to help the club win the LaLiga title.
He has barely featured for Hansi Flick’s side this current season due to fitness problems.
Christensen, however, returned to training over the weekend as he looks to get his career back on track.
But according to Mundo Deportivo, Man United and other Serie A clubs are showing serious interest in a January deal for Christensen and are not concerned by the player’s recent injury lay-off.
Christensen would be a boost to Amorim’s side following the Red Devils’ underwhelming start to the 2024/25 campaign.
