"They’ll Struggle to Secure a Top-four Finish," says Danny Murphy about a team not in Contention for the Title.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has identified Manchester United as a team unlikely to compete for the Premier League title this season.
Murphy believes the Red Devils will struggle to secure a top-four finish, especially following their recent 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace over the weekend.
Manchester United currently sits 11th in the standings after five matches, with only two wins.
“They brought in Zirkzee, their only attacking player. He’s a young lad, but he’s not a goal scorer and not really a center-forward,” Murphy said on Match of the Day.
“That won’t get Manchester United where they want to be in terms of competing for the title. I think they’ll struggle even for the top four, despite having chances and creativity in the team.”
