Man City’s Rodri Set to miss the rest of the season with an ACL tear.

Man City midfielder Rodri will be sidelined until the end of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament tear he suffered against Arsenal on Sunday.

Tests conducted on Monday morning confirmed that the injury is in his right knee.

The 2-2 draw saw the Spaniard only play 21 minutes in his first start of the season following two crunching tackles from Kai Havertz and Thomas Partey.

The Ballon d'Or contender is expected to undergo surgery in Barcelona, according to ESPN reports.

Rodri has only missed eight matches throughout his entire career for both club and country, making this injury the longest absence for the Spanish midfielder.

In the 2-2 clash between the Blues and Gunners, Manchester City dropped points for the first time this season, remaining in first place with 13 points. Meanwhile, Arsenal sits unbeaten in fourth place with 11 points.
