Palmer named PFA Young Player of the Year


Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has been named PFA Young Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old collected the award from Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola at a ceremony held in Manchester on Tuesday.

The England forward, who left Manchester City for Chelsea last summer, scored 22 goals and registered 11 assists during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, WSL midfielder Grace Clinton, who was on loan at Tottenham from Man United last season, has won the women's award.
