West Ham set to sign Wolves' Kilman in £40m deal

West Ham are on the verge of completing a £40m deal to bring in Wolves captain Max Kilman.

The Hammers had a £25m bid turned down for Kilman last month.

However, it appears certain their persistence will pay off with Wolves set to accept the latest offer, which would allow Kilman to complete his move.

It will reunite him with former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui, who has replaced David Moyes at the London Stadium.

West Ham technical director Tim Steidten said earlier this week he anticipated it would be a "busy" summer for the club.

Crucially, he also confirmed West Ham had no profit and sustainability issues thanks to the £105m sale of Declan Rice last summer.

Kilman, 27, joined Wolves in 2018 from Maidenhead United.

The defender had to wait until May 2019 before making his debut for the club against Fulham.
