PSG make transfer decision on Man City star Bernardo Silva

Paris Saint-Germain are ending their pursuit of Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, according to reports from France.

Le Parisien have claimed that the Ligue 1 champions are putting an end to their attempts to lure the 29-year-old to the French capital this summer. Silva has regularly been linked with a move to the Parc des Princes, since Luis Campos' arrival as the sporting director at PSG in 2022. Campos had reportedly been pushing his Portuguese compatriot to join the club but will now look elsewhere after failing in his latest efforts

The report went on to claim that it had been expected that PSG would revisit a deal for Silva this summer, but the plans have now changed. With City and Pep Guardiola determined to keep hold of the experienced playmaker, Campos and coach Luis Enrique have now decided to target other areas in the squad this summer.

Instead of right-wingers, PSG will now target the left-wing position with Napoli's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia a top target.

WHAT SILVA SAID

While links regarding a move away continue to swirl in every transfer window, Silva has opened up on his long-term ambitions for the remainder of his playing career.

"I want to return to Benfica. If the club wants me at the time, obviously things will happen," he told CNN. “I was incapable of playing for Porto or Sporting. It's not going to happen."
