Man City eye stunning deal for Real Madrid ace Rodrygo

Manchester City hope to capitalise on Kylian Mbappe's imminent arrival at Real Madrid by offering Rodrygo an escape route from the Spanish giants.

City are considering a bid to lure the Brazilian attacker away from the Spanish capital this summer, according to Marca, amid reports he could leave to make way for Mbappe, whose free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Madrid will be confirmed imminently. However, Madrid are not concerned about the 23-year-old's future at this point.

Speculation around the former Santos star's future has been building as Mbappe's move to the Santiago Bernabeu draws closer. Rodrygo has insisted he does not want to leave Madrid, but suggested he would be open to a move should he lose his place in Carlo Ancelotti's team.

"Of course, I want to stay here for many years. I want to be here as long as I feel that I help and I’m important to the team," he said. "And from the moment when I see that I’m no longer important, maybe it’s time to look for another place."
