Thierry Henry slams Barcelona over defeat to PSG

Former Arsenal goal king, Thierry Henry has slammed Barcelona following their 4-1 UEFA Champions League quarter-final defeat against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

The Blaugrana slumped to a defeat in front of their own fans against the French champions.

The game ended 6-4 on aggregate as PSG will now face Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.

Raphinha’s put the home side ahead in the 12th-minute but they lost Ronald Araujo to a red card in the 29th minute.

Utilising the advantage, Ousmane Dembele equalised against his former club while Vitinha made it 2-1.

Kylian Mbappe scored a brace to seal the win.

Henry, who also played for Barcelona ranted about his former team’s error-prone.

“You have to be good, you can’t make mistakes in the Champions League,” Henry said on CBS Sports.

“If you make mistakes, you will pay the price straightaway. That is why it’s so hard to win that competition because you cannot make one mistake.”

“Barcelona deserved to go down to 10 men, that penalty [in the 61st minute] was a penalty.

“But that doesn’t mean you have to concede goals. You didn’t concede those goals because you were playing with 10 men, it’s because you started to panic.

“You cannot be a champion when you panic. I don’t care who you are, you cannot panic in difficult situations.
