Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hailed Antony for his fine assist to Alejandro Garnacho in the Red Devils’ 4-3 away defeat to Chelsea on Thursday.
Conor Gallagher and Cole Palmer netted a goal each in the opening 19 minutes at Stamford Bridge to put the Blues ahead. But Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes helped the Red Devils restore parity in the first half.
Following Garnacho’s 67th-minute goal, Ferdinand praised Antony for his fine show of technical ability on the right flank.
Ferdinand told TNT Sports: “Antony has just produced one of the balls of the season. The audacity to even take it on.”
