Howe: Isak not for sale this summer

Eddie Howe has insisted Newcastle striker Alexander Isak will not be for sale during the summer.

Speculation has mounted over a summer move for the Swedish forward due to Newcastle's need to balance the books for Profit and Sustainability Rules reasons.

Isak made it 14 Premier League goals for the season after scoring two from the penalty spot in Saturday's 4-3 comeback win over West Ham, while he also laid on a fantastic assist for Harvey Barnes' first goal.

"He's an outstanding talent and no one connected with Newcastle would want to lose him," said Howe.

"He was excellent on Saturday. He didn't score in open play but his two penalties were outstanding and his general play was very good.

"His link play, his athleticism, he looked in a really good place."
