Pep Guardiola says Ederson could be in contention to return to the Man City team at Crystal Palace on Saturday lunchtime.
Stefan Ortega has been deputising while the Brazil international has been out with a thigh injury.
However, Guardiola ruled Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker out of the trip to south London.
Asked whether Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland would come back into the side after sitting on the bench as unused substitutes against Aston Villa,
Guardiola said: "I don't know yet. I have to think," referencing the quick turnaround time between the matches and how that has made preparation for Saturday's game tricky.
