Dessers dreams Scottish title after Old Firm stalemate

Cyriel Dessers has warned Celtic that Glasgow Rangers are determined to beat them to a sensational Scottish Premier League title this season, Punch Sports Extra reports.

Dessers posted another decent display to help the Gers secure a thrilling 3-3 draw against Celtic in an Old Firm derby last Sunday and even had a goal ruled out for an infringement.

The final Old Firm league meeting of the season will come at Celtic Park following the Premiership split after the final round of games next weekend, with the game potentially pivotal in deciding who goes on to lift the league trophy.

With that in mind, Dessers says Rangers’ performance would bode well for the next meeting between the two sides—and, in turn, their title hopes.

Celtic currently lead the log with 75 points from 32 games, one point ahead of second-place Rangers, who have a game in hand.

The 29-year-old Nigerian striker spoke told Daily Record the Light Blues were capable of winning the title.

“At this moment, I don’t have a lot of words,” Dessers said.
