Reading are in advanced talks with a North American group over the sale of the club, Sky Sports News understands.
The prospective deal would see the club change hands and their ground – Select Car Leasing Stadium – would also be sold.
A deal could be agreed, in principle, and exclusivity signed by early next week.
Reading are refusing to officially comment.
