Barnsley have announced the signing of Josh Earlfrom fellow League One club Fleetwood.
The 25-year-old - who started his career at Preston - has signed a three-and-a-half year deal, with a club option for a further 12 months.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to welcome Josh to Oakwell," interim director of football Bobby Hassell told the club's official website.
“He is a player, who despite being only 25, has featured a lot in the Championship and in League One and will bring that experience straight into the team.
“Josh being able to play across a number of positions at the back allows Neill to have a versatile player in the squad and offers flexibility with selection and tactics which was high on our agenda for this window."
