Liverpool have recalled Owen Beck from his loan spell at Dundee to ease their left-back issues.
The Reds are without injured pair Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas, leaving versatile Londoner Joe Gomez as their only recognised senior option at left-back.
But they have now recalled 21-year-old Beck, who has been one of Dundee's standout players this season.
Beck has played 20 matches in Scotland this term, and earned his first senior Wales call-up earlier this season.
"With the January transfer window now open Liverpool FC have executed their right to recall Owen from his season-long loan deal," a Dundee statement read.
"Owen will be greatly missed by everyone at Dundee FC as he has been outstanding both on and off the field.
"We would like to thank Owen for all he has given to Dundee FC and we wish him all the very best for the future. Owen will always be welcomed back in Dundee and at the Scot Foam Stadium at Dens Park."
