Mourinho: "Man City paid €80 million for the player, but Guardiola wants him to go."

 

The manager of Roma, Jose Mourinho, has asserted once more that his team lacks the resources to get the players he desires in the transfer window.

Mourinho brought up Kalvin Phillips' €80 million move from Leeds to Manchester City and Pep Guardiola's intention to have him replaced after just one season.

"I'm not jealous, but Man City spent €80 million to acquire Kalvin Phillips, and now Pep feels it would be best if he left."

They'll find someone else when he leaves. Our reality is very dissimilar. We find it difficult to sign a single player," Mourinho remarked.

The England midfielder is anticipated to leave the Etihad in the January transfer window, and Guardiola recently expressed regret for not providing Phillips enough playing time.
