Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has revealed that watching videos of Florian Wirtz convinced him to join Bayer Leverkusen.
Boniface and Wirtz have struck up a good partnership at the Bundesliga club, who are now top of the table.
The Nigerian has been especially impressive since he was signed from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer.
He has now said the chance to play with Wirtz was too good an opportunity to turn down.
Speaking to Sportbuzzer, Boniface said: “After just one game it was clear to me that Flo[rian Wirtz] was a brilliant footballer, a magician. When my agent told me about Bayer’s interest, it was immediately clear to me that I would really like to play in a team with him.”
Boniface has scored seven and assisted five goals in 12 games.
