Arteta hails two players on Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Brighton

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reacted to his side’s Premier League 2-0 win over Brighton on Sunday.

Arteta also hailed Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard for their impressive displays against Brighton.

Two goals from Havertz and Gabriel Jesus gave Arteta’s side the victory over the visitors.

Speaking about the game, Arteta said at his post-match press conference after the game: “Outstanding. From start to end. Big compliment to the team against a top side. We fully deserved to win the game. I know how hard it is and what Brighton do to teams. We didn’t allow that to happen.”

On Havertz’s display, Arteta added: “His confidence is growing. Scoring one is helping to score the second one. Overall, he’s top.”

Speaking on Odegaard’s performance, the Spaniard said: “He wanted to celebrate his birthday today in a great way. He’s done it with a win and a great performance. The way this team play against you, you have to be so accurate and precise.
