Owen Hails Alex Iwobi for his superb goal against Wolves

Former Liverpool forward, Michael Owen has hailed Alex Iwobi for his brilliant strike in Fulham’s 3-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night.

Iwobi opened the scoring for the Whites in the seventh minute of the keenly contested encounter played at the Vicarage Road.

The 27-year-old slammed the ball home following a superb cutback by Antoine Robinson.

It was the versatile winger’s first goal for Fulham and it came on his 300th Premier League appearance.

Owen claimed Iwobi showed great technique to score the goal.

“He did well, we picked him up here, actually coming from the right hand side and ended up taking more of a central position. He doesn’t vacate that and he just gets in behind defenders there,” Owen told Premier League Productions.

“I love the finish as well, the ball is actually behind him. He starts to move earlier from the right hand side and then finishes it right on the inside left channel.”
