Aaron Ramsdale will be frustrated by Mikel Arteta Firmness - Ray Parlour

Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour has insisted that goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale will be left ‘very frustrated’ by manager Mikel Arteta’s decision to drop him this season.

Ramsdale, who has lost his spot in Arteta’s starting XI to David Raya this season, was unable to keep a clean sheet as Arsenal crashed out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday after losing 3-1 to West Ham.

But Parlour feels the England shot-stopper will be furious that he has lost his number one spot at Emirates.

“Aaron Ramsdale started against West Ham but I don’t think Mikel Arteta will pick him against Newcastle, he will stick with David Raya,” Parlour told BettingSites.

“Aaron will be very frustrated. He’s been really good since he’s been at the club, he’s a big personality in the dressing room, which is important.

“I don’t like the situation, but I am not Mikel Arteta. I don’t know what goes on in training or behind the scenes, and that is a big decision he’s had to make in sticking with Raya.

“But you have got to be ruthless in management. Pep Guardiola always has been in his career and I’m sure Mikel would have picked up some of that from him
