Why we lost to Wolves – Man City coach, Guardiola

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has explained why his team lost 2-1 to Wolves in Saturday’s Premier League tie at Molineux.

Guardiola, who watched the defeat from the stands due to suspension, conceded that Gary O’Neil’s men played better than his players.

According to him, Man City players had chances and struggled to deal with transitions

He added that Wolves played very well.

An own-goal from Ruben Dias and a goal from Hwang Hee-chan gave Wolves the victory over Man City.

Julian Alvarez did score a goal for the Premier League champions.

“Congratulations Wolves, they deserved it,” Guardiola said after the game.

“We had chances and struggled to deal with transitions and they played very well.

“We were there and settled well and the question is when the opponent is faster and quicker, we have to accept it,” the Spaniard added.
