Watford sign Chakvetadze on season-long loan

Watford have signed Georgia international midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze on a season-long loan from Gent.

The Hornets hold the option to make the 23-year-old's move permanent at the end of the season.

Chakvetadze, who has been capped 16 times by his country, scored eight goals in 81 appearances for Belgian side Gent after joining them from Dinamo Tbilisi.

He spent last season on loan at Slovan Bratislava.
