Ukraine team Dnipro hit by suspected food poisoning' ahead of Champions League qualifier against Panathinaikos'
Ukrainian club, Dnipro were reportedly been hit by a suspected bout of food poisoning ahead of their second-leg of their second qualifying round match in the Champions League qualifier with Panathinaikos.
A reporter as per Ukrainian publication Zorya Londonsk, stated that 15 members of staff - including eight players - have been struck down in Athens overnight before the game.
The reason why players and staff have felt the symptoms is currently unknown.
Symptoms of food poisoning were also said to be felt by representatives of the club's delegation who did not have dinner with the team at their Athens hotel.
Dnipro are conducting an investigation into how it could have happened and it's said that the team's administrators are having to purchase products from the local supermarket.
The match which was later played yesterday, August 1 ended 2 - 2. The Ukrainian side lost 3-1 in the first leg.
