Chelsea sign Washington as Petrovic set for medical

Chelsea have signed forward Deivid Washington from Santos for £17.1m (€20m) on a seven-year deal.

The club will now make a decision about whether the 18-year-old Brazilian will be part of Mauricio Pochettino's first-team squad this season or go on loan to get regular first-team football.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is expected to have a medical with the Blues in the next 24 to 48 hours.
