Why Chelsea flopped last season – Reece James opens up

Chelsea defender, Reece James has opened up on why his team flopped last season.

Chelsea finished 12th in the Premier League table last season on the back of some dismal performances and did not win any trophy.

The Blues failed to find stability after going through three different managers in one season.

However, James has now revealed the reasons for Chelsea’s poor form last campaign.

The England star attributed it to the mentality of certain players who apparently had one foot out the door already.

“It is going to be a tough season. Last season was the toughest I have experienced,” James said at a press conference (as quoted by The Chelsea Chronicle).

“We are moving in the right direction, it was very difficult last season because there was lots of change, some players did not want to be there because they were not playing,” he added.
