Jordan Henderson has accepted Al Eittifaq's proposal to sign him from Liverpool, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The two clubs now have to agree a fee for the midfielder.
Liverpool would not sanction a free transfer for their captain, who has two years remaining on his current contract.
They would expect a fee well in excess of the £10m being mooted given Henderson's experience, status as an England international, and supreme physical condition.
Al-Ittihad are expected to table a £40m offer for Fabinho having received encouragement from the Brazil international's representatives.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool would allow both players to leave in the same window given the amount of experience ceded already this summer during a midfield rebuild.
