The Brazil Football Confederation have confirmed plans to install Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager when his Real Madrid contract expires in 2024.
Brazil have hired Fernando Diniz as their next head coach on a 12-month contract, after which Ancelotti will come in as the next manager.
Ancelotti's Real Madrid contract expires in 2024, with the Italian expected to remain in charge for the 2023-24 season.
Brazil federation chief Ednaldo Rodrigues told TV Globo: "[Diniz]'s game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti.
"We don't call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti."
