FA Cup: They switched off, not good enough – Roy Keane blasts three Manchester United players

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has hit out at three Red Devils players after the team’s FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City.

Two goals from Ilkay Gundogan ensured Man City defeated Man United at Wembley Stadium as Bruno Fernandes’ penalty was not enough.

However, Keane was not pleased with three Man United players – Casemiro, Fred and Christian Eriksen, for their performances against Pep Guardiola.

The Irishman said the trio switched off and were not good enough after Gundogan scored a stunning volley after just 13 seconds – the fastest FA Cup final goal in history.

“It’s a brilliant strike, a brilliant goal,” Keane told ITV Football.

“But defensively, I think United were switched off. I would be really critical of the three midfielders – Casemiro, Fred and Eriksen – they are all in the wrong position and they have all made wrong decisions 10 to 12 seconds into a game.

“Not good enough from experienced players. They were really switched off. It’s poor from Manchester United.”
