Duff named Swansea head coach after leaving Barnsley
Swansea have appointed Michael Duff as their new head coach following Russell Martin's departure to Southampton.
The 45-year-old Northern Irishman has signed a three-year deal after compensation was agreed with his former club Barnsley, and he will oversee the first day of pre-season training on Friday.
"I'm excited to get going and meet the players, because that's when it'll really kick in when you're on the grass and doing your job," Duff said.
"There were lots of reasons I wanted to come to Swansea; the step up in level, but also the infrastructure that's already at the football club, and speaking to the owners and the ambition they've got for the club it matches my own ambition."
