Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Villarreal to sign defender Pau Torres, according to The Athletic.
The report claims the Spanish international has agreed personal terms with Villa after he emerged as one of Unai Emery’s top targets early in the summer transfer window.
A potential move to Villa Park will see the 26-year-old reunited with Emery after they worked together at Villarreal.
Torres made 39 appearances in all competitions for Villarreal last season and was part of Spain's squad at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
