Tottenham haggling with Brentford over Raya fee

Tottenham have a lot of work to do with regards to their initial valuation of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

The Mail states that while the North London club are eager to sign Raya, they are no closer to his signature.

Bees boss Thomas Frank has put a price tag of around £40 million on his shot stopper's head.

He stated that it was a realistic price and the only way that a club could secure Raya.

However, Spurs are hoping to sign him for around half that sum, which means the two sides are far apart in valuation.

Add-ons may be able to bridge some of the gap, but Spurs will have to raise the initial fee they are willing to pay as well.
