Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has given reasons for starting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against his former club.
Aubameyang returns to the Emirates for the first time since his contract was terminated in January 2022.
He makes his first start for Blues for the first time since November 2022.
“We all know Auba, for us coming in fresh in the last few weeks, he hasn’t played so much as a No 9 and that’s the main position where you need that freshness and sharpness.
“He showed a little bit against Brentford, he’s a reference. He’s got a history of scoring goals, maybe that’s a reference, and with Noni he’s been training really well too,” Lampard said.
