Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has called on fans to warmly welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Tuesday night.
The former Gunners captain will make his first appearance at the Emirates since Arteta stripped him of the armband and terminated his contract 16 months ago.
But as Aubameyang returns to North London with struggling Chelsea, the Arsenal boss has said he deserves a warm reception.
Arteta said: “Let’s say thank you, pay respect and gratitude for what he was.
“He was an incredible player for us, scored a lot of goals, he was our captain, and he deserves that.”
Arsenal will return to the top of the table if they beat the Blues.
