EPL: Sam Allardyce’s return to Premier League confirmed

Leeds have appointed Sam Allardyce as their new manager after sacking Javi Gracia.

Gracia only arrived in February after Jesse Marsch.

However, he was fired after fans turned on him following the 4-1 defeat against Bournemouth on Sunday.

He has quickly been replaced by 68-year-old Allardyce, who returns with a remit of rescuing Leeds from relegation after two years out of the game.

Allardyce will take training on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s trip to league leaders Manchester City.

Leeds’ last win in the league came on April 4 against Nottingham Forest, and they are currently 17th on the log.

Allardyce has four matches to rescue Leeds and will earn £500,000 for his four-game spell in charge and could rake in a further £2.5 million should he keep them in the Premier League.
