EPL: Roy Keane names two clubs that destroyed Arsenal’s title hopes before Brighton

Manchester United legend, Roy Keane has named the two games that cost Arsenal the title this season.

He said that the Gunners had already spurned their chances of winning the Premier League title before their defeat to Brighton on Sunday.

The Gunners held an eight-point lead over Manchester City in January but have surrendered the driving seat to the Cityzens, who now lead by four points with two games remaining.

Keane, a Premier League legend, pinpointed the Gunners draws against West Ham United and Southampton as being instrumental to their downfall.

“When you look at some of the games of the past five or six weeks, particularly the West Ham and Southampton games stand out,” he told Sky Sports.

Arsenal drew 2-2 with West Ham and followed that up with another 3-3 with Southampton at the Emirates.

The Gunners then suffered a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City and were pegged back in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

“The points they lost against West Ham and Southampton definitely knocked them back a bit,” he said.
