EPL: He reminds me of Gundogan – John Barnes tells Man Utd to sign Chelsea star

 

Liverpool legend, John Barnes has urged Manchester United to sign Chelsea midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, ahead of Manchester City this summer.

Kovacic has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer.

The 29-year-old is in the final 14 months of his contract at Chelsea and the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are said to be keen to sign him.

“Mateo Kovacic could fit into any of those clubs because he is truly a fantastic player.

“He is very good on the ball, he works hard as a number 6 or as a number 8, so he is adaptable in a number of midfield positions,” Barnes told BonusCodeBets.

“He reminds me of Ilkay Gundogan, so he could fit in at Manchester City and Manchester United. United need him more than City as they need to strengthen in midfield, but he might go to City for the highest level.”
