Ancelotti speaks on getting sacked if Real Madrid does not win Copa del Rey, UCL

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his future is not linked to the Copa del Rey final on Saturday and the Champions League semi-final first leg with Manchester City on Tuesday.

Los Blancos trail Barcelona by 14 points in La Liga and will most likely surrender their title at the end of this season to the Catalans.

Madrid’s season will now be defined by the cup clash with Osasuna, which will be their first Copa del Rey final in nine years.

Three days later, they face City in the Champions League.

“It’s the Copa del Rey final and a semifinal, that’s all. I’m not playing for my life.

“It’s a trophy, and then we have a semifinal to prepare for… My future is clear. My contract ends on June 30, 2024, not tomorrow,” Ancelotti told a news conference on Friday.
