Football star, David Beckham has given an insight into his life for in an upcoming Netflix documentary.

The multi-part series is set to be released later this year and the first clip was played during a Netflix event organized on  Thursday April 27.

In the documentary David discusses his cleaning routine while standing in the Beckham family’s London mansion.

When the camera crew enquires as to why the kitchen is so spotlessly clean David explains: ‘I clean it so well, I’m not sure it’s actually appreciated so much by my wife, in all honesty.

The fact that when everyone’s in bed I then go around, clean the candles, turn the lights on to the right setting, make sure everywhere is tidy.’

He explains that he takes particular issue with the candles: ‘I clip the candle wick, I clean the glass, that’s my pet hate, the smoke around the inside of a candle… I know, it’s weird.’

Victoria, 49, summarises that he is ‘so perfect’ before heading out to a beauty appointment. David tells the cameras that she’s ‘so sarcastic.’

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player has previously been open about his OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), which is described on Google as a ‘mental health condition where a person has obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.’

A compulsion is a repetitive behaviour or mental act that you feel you need to do to temporarily relieve the unpleasant feelings brought on by the obsessive thought.

‘I have got this disorder where I have to have everything in a straight line or everything has to be in pairs.’

‘I’ll put my Pepsi cans in the fridge and if there’s one too many then I’ll put it in another cupboard somewhere,’ he explained to the Daily Mail.

‘I’ll go into a hotel room and before I can relax, I have to move all the leaflets and all the books and put them in a drawer.’

The synopsis for David Beckham tells us that the show will ‘go beyond the shine of stardom to explore Beckham’s humble working-class beginnings in East London, and the drive and determination that led him to become one of the most recognisable and scrutinised athletes of all time.’

It will include never seen personal archive footage from his whole life, fly-on-the-wall moments from the modern day, as well as interviews with family, friends, and footballing figures.
