Neville names 3 players that could cost Man City treble

Manchester United icon Gary Neville named Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne, and Rodri as the players whose fitness would be paramount in Manchester City winning the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup this season.

According to Neville, these three stars need to remain fit for the Citizens if they want to win the treble this season.

This was after De Bruyne was dropped from the Manchester City squad for their game against Fulham on Sunday over fitness issues.

Neville said that the mentioned players are essential to City’s treble attempt this term.

“They’re in such good form, all the players are fit. I’m not quite sure what’s happening with De Bruyne today and why he’s not in the squad – maybe we’ll find that out – but only injuries to Haaland, De Bruyne, and maybe Rodri, I feel, would leave a massive dent in their treble hopes.

“I’m keeping my fingers crossed that something happens!”

With a 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday, Manchester City have leapfrogged Arsenal in the Premier League table ahead of the Gunners’ clash with Chelsea on Monday.

City will play Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup and Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
