Man United legend predicts what’ll happen to Pochettino at Chelsea

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has predicted what would become of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino if he was appointed as Chelsea’s next manager.

Neville believes that the Argentine manager is a top coach and a perfect march for the current Chelsea squad.

Following the sack of Graham Potter last month, the Blues’ owners have been in the market in search of a perfect manager for the team.

Frank Lampard was called in to stand on an interim basis but has not made any positive impact to be considered on a permanent basis.

The Englishman, who had suffered sacks at Chelsea and Everton due to a poor run of results at the club, has lost five of the five matches he has been in charge of at Stamford Bridge since his return.

Neville said that Chelsea have a solid core of players who could do well under a top manager like Pochettino.

“Chelsea played Liverpool and there was something in that game that you saw in that collection of players and you thought they could be brought together by a talented coach.

“Pochettino, I think is a really talented coach and I think Chelsea next year could really cause a surprise, just by Pochettino bringing the club together because he will.

“He’s likeable and the players will respect him enormously.

“I think he’ll do a very, very good job next season and he’ll cover a lot of the stuff that’s going on behind the scenes.”
