Leicester have not yet decided who will be their next manager and have not ruled out employing a caretaker until the end of the season, despite holding talks with Jesse Marsch.
Marsch was in advanced talks with Leicester over a potential deal to take charge following Brendan Rodgers' exit at the start of the week.
The former Leeds manager is seen as a strong and versatile candidate, one who the hierarchy feel would be suitable even if Leicester are relegated to the Championship.
However, even though talks with Marsch have been positive, no decision has yet been taken about whether he is the right man to take over at this stage and all options remain on the table.
Leicester are still considering their options, with the focus on remaining in the Premier League.
